New London police investigate shots fired on Blackhall and Williams streets

NEW LONDON — On Friday night, New London Police were called to the intersection of Blackhall St. and Williams St. after reports of gunshots in the area.

The incident occurred around 8:42 p.m., when officers were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found evidence confirming the reports of a weapons discharge.

The Investigative Services Division was immediately called in, with detectives collecting evidence and processing the scene while also canvassing the neighborhood for additional information.

As of now, there have been no injuries linked to the gunfire.

The investigation into the incident remains active as authorities seek to uncover the circumstances and identify those involved.

The New London Police Department is asking for the public’s help with any information related to the shots fired.
