Irasburg utility pole, apple tree struck in hit-and-run

IRASBURG — The Vermont State Police Derby Barracks are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred in the early hours of Nov. 17, where an unknown driver crashed into a utility pole and an apple tree before fleeing the scene.

According to authorities, the collision happened at around 12:02 a.m. on Kidder Hill Ridge.

The vehicle, described as a white Chevrolet truck, caused significant damage to Consolidated Communication’s property.

The driver reportedly left the location immediately before law enforcement arrived.

Trooper Alford of the VSP Derby Barracks is leading the ongoing investigation.
