CRANSTON — On Friday, Nov. 15, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged Tasha Hayes, age 37, with assault with bodily fluids while incarcerated and simple assault and or battery.
The arrest followed an investigation by the ACI Investigations Unit and the ACI Inspections Unit.
Hayes was arraigned at Third District Court and released into the custody of the Sheriff’s Department.
In a separate incident, Daniel Rodriguez, age 39, was charged with assault on a correctional officer by the same investigative team.
Rodriguez also faced arraignment at Third District Court and was released to the Sheriff’s Department.
PAWTUCKET — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Joseph Washington, age 36, early Friday morning for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant related to failure to appear for a pre-arraignment conference.
The original charge was possession with intent of Schedule I-II drugs out of the Rhode Island State Police HIDTA Unit.
Washington was apprehended without incident around 6 a.m., processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and later transferred to Superior Court officials.
A comprehensive operation involving multiple units led to the arrest of Manoutham Phommaehanh, age 44, on various charges including possession and intent to deliver marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, possession of fentanyl, and firearms offenses.
The arrest, made at 5 a.m., was the culmination of an Intelligence Unit investigation and subsequent search warrant execution.
Phommaehanh was arraigned in Sixth Division District Court and held without bail.
Later that morning, at 5:30 a.m., Evan Santos, age 28, was arrested by the HIDTA Task Force and Pawtucket Police Special Squad for possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl.
Santos was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and held without bail after his arraignment in 6th District Court.
At approximately 6:10 a.m., another HIDTA Task Force operation resulted in the arrest of Emanuel Jackson, age 60, for possession with the intent to deliver cocaine and methamphetamine.
Following the execution of a search warrant, Jackson was processed and arraigned, similarly being held without bail.
