Man arrested on suspicion of DUI after crash in Bethel

BETHEL — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs following a single-vehicle crash on Friday evening.

At approximately 5:34 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an accident at 326 Abbott Rd.

Upon arrival, they found the vehicle and identified the driver as William Spinks, 44, of Bethel.

According to authorities, Spinks displayed signs of impairment at the scene.

After an investigation, Spinks was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI drug.

Spinks was transported to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.

He was subsequently cited and released.
