Bethel man arrested for DUI #2 offense

BETHEL — A local man was arrested late Wednesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, marking his second DUI charge.

Jeffrey Staff, 50, of Bethel, was pulled over by Vermont State Police for a motor vehicle violation on River Street at about 10:02 p.m.

During the stop, troopers conducted an investigation which led to the determination that Staff was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Following his arrest, Staff was taken to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17 to face the DUI charge.
