St. Johnsbury restaurant burglarized, police seek information

ST. JOHNSBURY — A popular local eatery, Papa Tirozzi’s Restaurant, was the target of a burglary, Vermont State Police reported.

The break-in at the establishment on Portland Street was discovered early Nov. 11, after an unknown individual or individuals forced entry through a window the previous night.

According to the police, the burglary occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 9, when the restaurant was closed.

Police arrived at the scene at about 7:08 a.m. following notification of the incident.

An investigation was promptly initiated, revealing that various items of value had been taken from the premises.

Details regarding the specific items stolen have not been released.

Authorities have not identified any suspects at this time and are appealing to the public for assistance.
