Boston police arrest two, seize drugs and firearms in Roxbury

BOSTON — Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Units seized drugs and firearms Tuesday afternoon, leading to the arrest of two men on various charges, authorities said.

At about 4:50 p.m., on Nov. 12, officers from Districts B-2 (Roxbury) and C-6 (South Boston) arrested Ramon Pinnick, 34, of Dorchester, on drug and firearm related charges during an ongoing investigation at 135 East Cottage Street.

Authorities executed search warrants and discovered three plastic bags of crack cocaine, 62 plastic bags of marijuana, 98 rounds of ammunition, multiple magazines, and a ballistic vest.

In addition to the narcotics and firearms, officers found scales, baggies, drug packaging materials, and roughly $2,968 in cash.

The crack cocaine and marijuana seized weighed approximately 15 grams and 204 grams, respectively.

Pinnick now faces charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

A second suspect, Derrick Steele, 36, of Boston, was also apprehended at the scene on two outstanding warrants related to Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Assault and Battery.

Both men are expected to face arraignment in Roxbury District Court.
