West Haven man charged with murder after bar altercation leads to stabbing

WEST HAVEN — After a proactive and intense investigation, West Haven police detectives identified 49-year-old Omoyeni Frank as a suspect in a recent stabbing at The Muzeum Bar.

Investigators reported that Frank, a resident of West Haven, was involved in a dispute inside the bar during which he allegedly stabbed another man in the chest.

Following the incident, Frank is said to have left the scene and driven to his home.

A SWAT team from the West Haven Police Department was dispatched to carry out a search and seizure warrant at Frank’s address.

Upon their arrival, Frank was not present; however, he returned while the SWAT team and officers were on site.

Frank subsequently surrendered and was apprehended without any further incident.

Once in custody, Frank was taken to the West Haven Police Department where he was officially charged with murder.

His bond has been set at $2 million.

Frank is expected to make his initial court appearance at Milford Superior Court on Tuesday.
