WEST WARWICK — Rhode Island State Troopers made two arrests following traffic stops in West Warwick over the weekend, apprehending individuals on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to driving under the influence.
At 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 9, Troopers arrested 22-year-old Aaron Andrews of Coventry, Rhode Island, after a motor vehicle stop on Main Street.
Andrews, who resides at 456 Washington Street, was wanted on an affidavit and arrest warrant for disorderly conduct issued by the Warwick Police Department.
Following the stop, Andrews was taken to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing and later transferred to the Warwick Police Department.
Hours later, on Nov. 10 at 12:19 a.m., another traffic stop led to the arrest of 45-year-old Christopher Boulay of North Smithfield, Rhode Island.
Boulay, of 14 Country Way, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, first offense, with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater.
Results from the breathalyzer test showed phase I and II B.A.C levels at 0.163% and 0.174% respectively.
Boulay was stopped on Route 95 and taken to Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
He was released into the custody of a responsible adult, pending a future court date in the Third District Court.
