Boston police investigate fatal shooting in Hyde Park

BOSTON — Boston police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in the Hyde Park neighborhood, where a man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

At about 1:14 p.m., on Nov. 8, officers from District E-18 responded to reports of gunfire at 204 Garfield Avenue.

Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim who had been shot several times.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have taken a suspect into custody, who is scheduled for arraignment in court on Tuesday morning.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
