NEW HAVEN — A Vergennes man has been accused of home improvement fraud after failing to complete contracted pool services for a New Haven resident.

Vermont State Police reported that on Oct. 21, they were notified of a potential fraud involving Michael Kenyon, 47, who was contracted by Stuart MacCrellish, 63, to provide a pool product and installation through Valley Pool and Spa Service LLC.

Despite receiving a down payment, Kenyon neither completed the work nor delivered the pool product.

MacCrellish made several attempts over the months to reach Kenyon, requesting that either the work be completed or the funds returned.

However, Kenyon did not fulfill the contract terms and failed to provide a refund for the undelivered services.

Authorities have issued a citation for Kenyon to appear at the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Jan. 13 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charge of Home Improvement Fraud.
