Rutland woman faces cocaine possession charges after traffic stop

RUTLAND — A routine traffic stop on Ripley Road led to the arrest of a local woman for cocaine possession, Vermont State Police reported.

Colleen Keefe, 51, of Rutland, was pulled over by state troopers at approximately 7:07 p.m. on Nov. 2 for a vehicle violation.

During the stop, troopers noted signs of drug use, which prompted a search of Keefe’s person with her consent.

Suspected cocaine was discovered during the search.

Authorities obtained a warrant following the initial findings, which led to the discovery of additional suspected cocaine upon execution.

Keefe was cited to appear in Rutland Criminal Court on charges of cocaine possession.

Further details regarding the vehicle violation and the amount of cocaine found have not been released.
