Randolph man arrested for domestic assault, denying emergency service access

RANDOLPH — A Randolph man was arrested Thursday morning on charges of domestic assault and interfering with access to emergency services, according to the Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the VSP Royalton Barracks were flagged down at around 9:12 a.m. by a victim of domestic assault who had left the scene on East Bethel Road to find a phone and contact police.

The incident occurred in the town of Randolph, in Orange County.

Upon arriving at the scene and conducting interviews, troopers determined there was probable cause to arrest 39-year-old Justin E. Ford.

Ford was cited for domestic assault and for interference with access to emergency services.

Ford is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Orange County Criminal Division at 3 p.m. on the same day to answer to the charges.

The State Police, adhering to their policy, have not released the name of the victim in the domestic assault case.
