SIMSBURY — Emergency crews from Simsbury, Avon, and Canton were dispatched to a structure fire at 41 Quorn Hunt Road on Nov. 6 at around 4:40 p.m., which resulted in injuries to one individual.
Upon arrival, neighbors and first responders immediately provided aid to a person who suffered burns during the incident.
The victim, who was not a resident of the property, was promptly transported by ambulance and Lifestar helicopter to Hartford Hospital for treatment.
The fire, which was quickly subdued by additional firefighting personnel, was confined to an attached two-car garage and a vehicle situated in the driveway.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
The incident is under active investigation by the Simsbury Fire Marshal’s Office, the State Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Simsbury Police Department.
