RYE — The Rye Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of political signs from Harborview Drive on Nov. 5.
Authorities released images of the individual and the vehicle, believed to be a Nissan Rogue SUV, captured on surveillance footage around 6:31 p.m. the day of the incident.
Officer E. Hudson is handling the investigation and urges anyone with information about the case to come forward.
The Rye Police Department is actively following leads and believes that community tips could be vital in apprehending the suspect.
Members of the public who recognize the suspect or vehicle, or have any relevant details, are encouraged to contact Officer Hudson directly.
The police department has not released any information regarding the number of signs taken or their political affiliation.
