Lyndonville police arrest two on fentanyl trafficking, weapon charges

LYNDONVILLE — Two individuals were arrested on multiple charges including fentanyl trafficking and weapon possession by the Lyndonville Police Department on Nov. 6 at a local hotel on 28 Back Center Road.

At 12:09 p.m., authorities responded to a call from the hotel manager about suspicious activities.

Upon arrival, officers located Andrew Davis, 37, who is homeless, and Savannah Hamelin, 21, from East Haven.

Investigation revealed that Davis was wanted on a $5,000 warrant related to larceny and aiding in assault and robbery, while Hamelin had an outstanding $50 warrant for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

Both were taken into custody without incident.

A search led to the discovery of a loaded 9mm handgun in Davis’ possession, and suspected narcotics along with other items were found in their hotel room.

Davis and Hamelin were cited for fentanyl trafficking, possession of a depressant, stimulant or narcotic drug, and other violations.

Following their arrest, both were brought before a judge, where Davis’ bail was increased to $20,000.
