Troopers make multiple arrests on Rhode Island highways

PROVIDENCE — Multiple individuals were arrested by Rhode Island State Troopers in separate incidents following traffic stops and accident responses, according to authorities.

At 3:24 p.m., Troopers took into custody Fransisco Maria De Leon, 62, from Providence, on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Route 95 North in Pawtucket.

De Leon was held at Lincoln Woods Barracks and awaits arraignment as a probation violator at Sixth District Court.

Later in the day, at 4:19 p.m., Dovion Robinson, 19, of Vernon, Connecticut, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, and providing false documents to a public official.

The arrest followed a response to a motor vehicle accident on Route 195 East in East Providence.

Robinson was processed and released pending a court appearance.

In the early hours, at 2:25 a.m., Bryan Lora Pena, 27, from Cranston, was apprehended for a court warrant related to a failure to appear for arraignment on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license, and for committing the same violation again.

The arrest was made on Admiral Street in Providence, and Pena was detained overnight.

Shortly after, at 2:41 a.m., Remyynsce Clay, 18, from Northborough, Massachusetts, was arrested for simple assault and disorderly conduct on behalf of the Woonsocket Police Department.

The arrest followed a vehicle stop in North Providence, and Clay was later turned over to Woonsocket authorities.
