BOSTON — A suspect in the stabbing that occurred last November in Brighton has been taken into custody, the Boston Police Department announced Wednesday.
At about 10:02 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 2, officers from District D-14 responded to a call regarding a stabbing at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave. and Warren St. Upon arrival, they found a 36-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.
The Boston Emergency Medical Services were already on the scene administering treatment.
The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital with serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an extensive investigation by District D-14 detectives, the alleged assailant was identified.
Hans Pierre, 43, was arrested at around 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 5, outside his Brighton residence by the D-14 detectives and the D-14 Drug Control Unit.
Pierre is now expected to face charges of Assault & Battery With a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) at the Brighton District Court.
The Boston Police Department continues to investigate the incident and has not released further details about the motive or circumstances leading up to the stabbing.
