Waldo County Sheriff’s office seeks witness in Swan Lake hit-and-run

BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman believed to be a witness to a hit-and-run accident at the Wentworth Family Grocery parking lot in Swan Lake.

The incident occurred on the evening of Oct. 31, and officials have released photographs of the female they are seeking, as well as the vehicle involved in the crash.

Deputy Lucas Babcock, who is leading the investigation, urges anyone with information to come forward.

Authorities have not shared details about the extent of damages or injuries resulting from the hit-and-run.
