Chicopee police seek help finding missing woman last seen in September

CHICOPEE — The Chicopee Police Department is seeking public assistance in locating Erika Higgins, a woman who has been missing since being reported on Aug. 6.

Higgins, 31, was last known to be heading to New Haven, Connecticut, on Sept. 10, but family members affirm she has no known ties to that area.

Despite efforts by loved ones, there has been no contact with Higgins since the missing person report was filed.

The search has also extended to other cities where she might be located, including Holyoke and West Springfield, but to no avail.

Erika Higgins is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 165 pounds, with blue eyes and shoulder-length brown hair.

She has distinctive tattoos on her left and right hand, her right forearm, and her left shoulder.

At the time she went missing, there was no detailed description of her clothing available.

The Chicopee Police Department’s Detective Bureau is urging anyone with information that could lead to Higgins’ whereabouts to come forward.
