SOMERVILLE — Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Nov. 1 that left dozens of shell casings and significant property damage but no reported injuries.
At 4:27 a.m., the Somerville Police Communications Center received 911 calls about gunfire at 53-55 High St. Officers arriving on the scene found 23 shell casings scattered across the street and observed substantial ballistic damage to the building.
Authorities believe two individuals were shooting at the dwelling before fleeing on foot toward North Street.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Somerville Police Department is actively pursuing leads in the case.
While no one was hurt during the incident, the search for the shooters continues.
