Man arrested for threatening with a deadly weapon in Nashua

NASHUA — The Nashua Police Department arrested a Lowell man on a felony warrant for criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

Josue Rivera, 29, was taken into custody on Nov. 1 after an investigation into a complaint filed on Oct. 25.

The incident, which occurred on Oct. 23, involved two individuals who reported being threatened by a man they knew as “Boogie,” later identified as Rivera.

According to the police, witnesses believed Rivera had a firearm during the confrontation.

The Criminal Investigation Division’s detectives assigned to the case established probable cause to connect Rivera to the threat and obtained an arrest warrant.

Rivera was already under arrest by Lowell, Massachusetts Police on unrelated charges when the warrant was issued.

He has since waived extradition to New Hampshire to face the Nashua charges.

Police departments from Tewksbury and Lowell assisted in the investigation.

Refusing bail, Rivera is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m.
