PROVIDENCE — Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks carried out a series of arrests over the weekend following traffic stops in the Providence area.
On Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m., troopers arrested Brad Rochford, 43, of Riverside, Rhode Island, for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, less than 10 grams.
The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Broad Street.
Rochford was processed, arraigned, and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
Later that day, at 4:39 p.m., Ronnie Johnson, 56, of Providence, was arrested for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Johnson was also processed at the barracks, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult.
At 8:25 p.m., Tiatun Brownsmith, 40, of Pawtucket, was arrested for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates following a stop on Route 95.
Brownsmith was released pending a court arraignment date after processing and arraignment.
The final arrest on Nov. 2 came at 11:09 p.m. when Jack Gariepy, 21, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, was charged with reckless driving in Pawtucket.
He was processed and released with a court arraignment date.
On Nov. 3, just after midnight, Jean Romero Lebron, 22, of Pawtucket, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic simple assault, disorderly conduct, and failure to relinquish a telephone.
Additionally, Romero Lebron had a bench warrant for failing to appear at a pretrial conference for a suspended or revoked license charge.
The arrest was a result of a vehicle stop on North Main Street.
Romero Lebron was processed at the barracks and transported to the Woonsocket Police Department.
