HOPE VALLEY — At 12:49 p.m., Rhode Island State Troopers apprehended Caitlyn Hart, 25, from Wyoming, Rhode Island, on charges of driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance after a vehicle accident on Route 95 North in Richmond.
Hart faces her first offense for DUI with an unknown blood alcohol concentration, pending blood test results, and possession of less than 10 grams of a Schedule I-IV controlled substance, identified as Xanax.
She was taken to the Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
Hart was subsequently released into the care of a responsible adult, with a court date set at the fourth division district court.
Later that evening, at 11:38 p.m., Troopers detained Devin Bento, 33, of Providence, on a warrant for domestic disorderly conduct issued by the East Providence Police Department.
The arrest of Bento stemmed from a vehicle stop on Route 165 in Exeter.
Bento was brought to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing before being handed over to the East Providence Police Department.
