SPRINGFIELD — A man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested Thursday morning by Springfield police after being spotted at a local residence, authorities said.
Reginald Kelley, identified as a fugitive from justice, was apprehended without incident at approximately 11:25 a.m. on River Street following surveillance that began around 11:15 a.m., according to the Springfield Police Department.
The operation was undertaken after officers received a tip from Keene, NH Probation and Parole indicating that Kelley was staying at the River Street location and had outstanding extraditable warrants.
Officer Guzzo of the Springfield Police Department, with assistance from Cpl. Perkins, Ofc. Woodell, and Ofc. Franchi of the Weathersfield Police Department, confirmed the warrants before approaching Kelley, who was observed smoking a cigarette on his porch.
Following his arrest, Kelley was processed at the Springfield Police Department.
He received a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit in White River Junction on Oct. 25 at 12:30 p.m.
Kelley faces the charge of being a fugitive from justice.
He is currently held at Southern State Correctional Facility on a $20,000 cash or surety bail.
