PUTNAM — Police responded to a hit-and-run collision at the intersection of Church Street and Providence Street on Thursday at around 8:10 p.m.

According to the Putnam Police Department, a 2017 Toyota Camry driven by Vera Kustov was traveling south on Church Street when another vehicle made a left turn in front of her and collided with her car before fleeing the scene.

Initial reports of a utility pole being involved were later dismissed after an on-scene investigation.
