BURKE — A single-vehicle crash late Friday night resulted in the arrest of a St. Johnsbury man on charges of driving under the influence.
At approximately 9:36 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a report of a crash on US Route 5.
The driver, identified as James Groft III, 32, was operating a 2015 Subaru Impreza when the vehicle rolled over, causing heavy front-end damage.
Despite the severity of the crash, Groft was wearing a seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.
The weather at the time was cloudy, and road conditions were dry.
Groft was arrested at the scene and taken to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
He has been released with a citation and is scheduled to appear before a judicial officer to face DUI charges.
