Brownington theft prompts State Police request for public assistance

BROWNINGTON — A theft reported at the Brownington Congregational Church has the State Police seeking public help in the investigation.

At about 2 p.m. on Nov. 1, Timothy Hastings, 68, reported to the State Police that his black leather waist pouch containing personal items was stolen.

The theft allegedly took place during church services on Oct. 27 around 11 a.m. on Hinman Settler Road.

The stolen bag contained a checkbook, a Nokia flip phone, a camera, and a calculator.

The State Police is urging anyone with information regarding the theft to contact the Derby Barracks at 802-334-8881.
