NORTH HAMPTON — A collective effort between the North Hampton Police Department and the community led to the arrest of Anthony Manning, who was taken into custody on charges stemming from an October 10 theft at a local Home Depot.
Manning used false identification and assumed another person’s identity in an attempt to evade law enforcement.
The police credited the public’s vigilance and cooperation for the swift resolution of the case.
The North Hampton Police Department has charged Manning with a series of offenses, including theft by unauthorized taking of less than $1,500, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled drug, criminal threatening, resisting arrest or detention, unsworn falsification, false reports to law enforcement, identity fraud, and operating while being a habitual offender.
Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, High Sheriff Charles Massahos, along with Manchester and Salem police departments, were acknowledged for their crucial roles in the arrest.
Chief of Police Bob LaBarge expressed his gratitude for their partnership and reiterated the department’s commitment to transparency and justice.
The department urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
