CAMPTON — A Massachusetts woman was apprehended by New Hampshire State Troopers on Wednesday after she allegedly led them on a high-speed chase exceeding 120 mph on Interstate 93.
At around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 30, authorities were alerted to a white motorcycle moving at excessive speeds and passing vehicles hazardously northbound on I-93 in Concord.
Troopers from Troop D and F barracks attempted to pull over the motorcyclist near Exit 23, but the rider failed to comply, accelerating and eluding the officers.
Despite losing sight of the motorcycle initially, Troop F members later spotted the motorcyclist continuing at high speeds on I-93 in Ashland, then again in Campton, where she exited the interstate at Exit 28.
The pursuit came to an end at a Route 49 gas station when the motorcyclist, in an apparent second attempt to evade police, collided with a stationary State Police cruiser at low speed, causing her to lose control of her motorcycle.
The rider, identified as 18-year-old Juliana R.
Gobbi from Brockton, Massachusetts, was uninjured in the collision.
Gobbi was taken into custody and faces charges of reckless driving, disobeying a police officer, and criminal mischief.
She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Plymouth District Court on Dec. 16.
