Boston police seek help to identify suspects in Roxbury assault

BOSTON — Boston Police Department’s District B-2 detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals involved in an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon that occurred in Roxbury.

The incident took place between 4:36 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 25, in the vicinity of 93 Zeigler Street.

Allegedly, one suspect, an older black female described as about 5 feet 5 inches tall, heavy-set, wearing a purple dress and purple leggings, extracted a black and silver hammer from her purse and struck the victim multiple times.

The second suspect, a light-skinned black male believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, also around 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a gray t-shirt, is reported to have brandished a pocketknife and pressed it against the victim’s neck.

The police department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault.

They have called for anyone with information related to the incident or the suspects to reach out to the District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.

To ensure the safety and anonymity of informants, community members may also provide information without revealing their identity.

The Boston Police Department assures that it will protect the identities of individuals who wish to assist the investigation anonymously.
