Rockland man arrested for drug importation through mail

ROCKLAND — A local man was arrested on Halloween for allegedly importing illegal drugs through the mail, authorities said.

Neal Kenney V, 22, of Rockland, was taken into custody by Rockland Police with assistance from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

Kenney faces multiple charges, including felony importation of scheduled drugs and violation of his probation, according to a police press release.

Kenney is currently on probation for prior offenses, including felony drug furnishing, reckless conduct, domestic violence assault, and threatening.

The Rockland Police Department reiterated its dedication to addressing drug trafficking and related quality-of-life concerns in the community.

The department has made numerous narcotics arrests and has several arrest warrants pending as a result of proactive patrols and directed investigations.
