Providence man arrested for attempted larceny, conspiracy, insurance fraud

PROVIDENCE — In the early hours, Troopers apprehended Samuel Judd, 37, of Providence, on charges stemming from an affidavit and arrest warrant issued by the State Police Headquarters.

The arrest occurred at 2 a.m. when Judd was taken into custody following an investigation by the Auto Theft Unit.

He faces allegations of attempted larceny over $1500, conspiracy, and insurance fraud.

State Police officials said the arrest was facilitated by Troopers who responded to the Providence Police Department to assume custody of Judd.

He was processed at State Police Headquarters and is being held pending his arraignment.
