Motorcycle-pedestrian collision leaves two seriously injured in Stamford

STAMFORD — A serious collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian at a busy Stamford intersection has left both individuals with significant injuries, according to the Stamford Police Department.

The incident took place at approximately 7:41 p.m. on Oct. 30 at the intersection of Atlantic St. and Tresser Blvd.

Authorities from the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad reported that a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle, traveling westbound on Tresser Blvd., struck a pedestrian crossing southbound on the west side of the intersection.

The motorcycle operator, a 28-year-old Stamford resident, was thrown from the vehicle due to the impact and sustained serious injuries.

He is currently listed in serious condition at Stamford Hospital.

The pedestrian, a 24-year-old with a last known address in Massachusetts, suffered critical injuries and is also being treated at Stamford Hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Sgt. Jeffrey Booth and Officer Cory Fisher are leading the inquiry.

The investigation remains open as officials work to determine the cause of the accident.
