WHEELOCK — Vermont State Police arrested 32-year-old Jacob Olcott of Barnet late Wednesday night following reports of a verbal altercation inside a vehicle on South Wheelock Road.

The incident occurred on Oct. 30 at approximately 11:11 p.m., when callers reported a male yelling at a female, who could be heard shouting for help from within the vehicle.

After receiving a vehicle description, troopers responded to the scene.

Upon locating and making contact with the occupants of the matching vehicle, it was determined that Olcott, who was among the four individuals in the car, had court-ordered conditions of release that prohibited contact with one of the persons present.

Olcott was taken into custody for violating his conditions of release and processed at the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks.

He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Oct. 31 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charges.
