PROVIDENCE — Multiple arrests were made by the Rhode Island State Police on Oct. 28, involving charges ranging from possession of marijuana to forgery of registration plates.
At 11:23 a.m., troopers apprehended Fabian Medina, 26, of Providence, following a traffic stop on Elmwood Avenue.
Medina faces charges of possessing over two ounces of marijuana and operating a vehicle with a suspended license for the fourth or subsequent offense.
He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and appeared at Sixth District Division Court for arraignment.
Earlier that day, at 11 a.m., Souksakhone T. Pholsina, 50, of Coventry, was arrested for assault and/or battery stemming from an incident in the cellblock at 6th District Court.
Following arraignment at Sixth Division District Court, Pholsina was granted surety bail with a future court date set.
Only minutes after Medina’s arrest, at 11:29 a.m., Samuel Esteva, 29, of Providence, was detained during a vehicle stop on Brigham Street for a domestic violation of a no-contact order, marking his third or subsequent offense.
Esteva was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before his arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.
In the afternoon, at 2:45 p.m., Disaree Suarez, 23, of Central Falls, was arrested following a vehicle stop on Gaspee Street and a subsequent accident on Francis Street.
Suarez faces multiple charges, including domestic violence, reckless eluding, failure to stop after an accident, obstruction, and driving without a license for the fourth or subsequent offense.
She was taken to RI Hospital for minor injuries, arraigned, and then transferred to the Adult Correctional Institutions Woman’s Intake Center.
Simultaneously, Michael Torres, 31, also of Central Falls, was arrested for domestic violence in violation of a no-contact order following the same incident involving Suarez.
After minor injuries were treated at RI Hospital, Torres was arraigned and placed into the custody of the RI Sheriffs.
Later in the evening, at 8:44 p.m., Richard Genao, 41, of Providence, was arrested for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates after a traffic stop on Old Louisquisset Pike in Lincoln.
Genao was processed and arraigned at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, with a subsequent court date scheduled at Sixth Division District Court.
