WATERFORD — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of shoplifting from an ACE Hardware store.
On Oct. 18, 2024, at approximately 3:11 p.m., an unidentified male entered the ACE Hardware store on Boston Post Road, according to the Waterford Police Department.
The suspect allegedly unboxed a pruning saw valued at $269, concealed the item, and left the store without paying.
Authorities have released a surveillance image of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact Officer Surdo at [email protected] or 860-442-9451 ext. 2332.

The police department emphasized the importance of community assistance in identifying suspects, stating that sharing the information “really makes a difference.”
