Early morning crash in Oxford Center leaves one injured

OXFORD — Emergency responders from the Oxford Police and Oxford Fire-EMS were called to the scene of a two-car collision in Oxford Center at around 4 a.m. today.

Officials reported minor injuries for one driver, who was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved but confirmed that seat belt usage was instrumental in preventing more serious harm.

The Oxford Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the accident and reminds the community of the critical role seat belts play in vehicle safety.
