Single-vehicle crash damages utility pole in Pittsford

PITTSFORD — A West Rutland teenager escaped injury after her car struck a utility pole Sunday morning on Vermont Route 3, state police said.

Cadence Goodwin, 18, was driving south in a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic when she failed to maintain her lane and veered off the road, colliding with the pole near 2636 VT Route 3 at about 9:07 a.m., according to Vermont State Police.

Goodwin was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Her vehicle sustained significant front-end damage, but no injuries were reported.

The Pittsford Fire Department, Regional Ambulance Service, and Green Mountain Power assisted state troopers at the scene.

Road conditions were reported as normal and dry, with clear weather at the time of the incident.
