Man arrested for domestic assault and aggravated assault in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 22-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly assaulting his intimate partner and another individual in the early hours of Saturday.

Christopher Baker of St. Johnsbury was arrested at 1:44 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2024, following reports of a domestic assault on Higgins Hill Road, the Vermont State Police said.

Investigators determined Baker caused bodily injury and fear to his intimate partner, whose name was not released.

He also allegedly used his vehicle as a weapon against Dylan DeHaven, 28, of Danville, resulting in serious bodily injury.

Baker is accused of violating a court-ordered curfew and lying to troopers about operating his vehicle during the assault.

He faces charges of domestic assault, aggravated assault, negligent operation, violation of conditions of release, and false reports to law enforcement.

Baker was taken to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Further details about his custody status or court appearance were not immediately available.
