Suspicious male attempts entry into Pembroke barn

PEMBROKE — Police are seeking public assistance after a suspicious male was reported trespassing and attempting to enter a barn in Pembroke early Thursday morning.

The Pembroke Police Department received a call at 1:09 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2024, reporting a man trying to gain entry into a detached barn in the 400 block of Pembroke Street.

The suspect is believed to have also trespassed on another nearby property.

Officers from Pembroke and Concord police departments established a perimeter and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

A bicycle was found near the incident site, though police are unsure if it is related to the investigation.

Authorities are asking residents in the vicinity of Pembroke Street and Whittemore Road/Brickett Hill Road to review any available camera footage from the time of the incident.

They also advise checking sheds, vehicles, and other easily accessible personal items for signs of tampering or missing objects.
