CHELSEA — Chelsea police arrested one person and seized drugs, cash and a firearm while executing a search warrant Monday at an apartment on Marlboro Street.
The raid at 63 Marlboro St., Apt. 1, followed an investigation by Chelsea and Everett police detectives.
Officers discovered cocaine, fentanyl, cash believed to be drug proceeds, an illegal firearm and packaging materials, police said.
Jose Sanchez, 27, was arrested and faces charges of cocaine trafficking and illegal firearm possession.
Chelsea Police Chief Keith Houghton said the operation demonstrates the department’s commitment to combating drug-related crime.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible, police said.
