NORTH HAVEN — A Branford man was arrested in connection with a theft at a local Best Western hotel, where a guest reported multiple items stolen from his room while he slept in late July, authorities said.

The North Haven Police Department said detectives reviewed hotel surveillance footage, which led to the identification of two suspects and a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident.

Following an investigation, arrest warrants were issued in October for the suspects.

Geno Ferrigno, 33, was taken into custody on Oct. 13.

He faces charges including Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 2nd Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 4th Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Credit Card Theft, three counts of Illegal Use of a Credit Card, and three counts of Larceny in the Sixth Degree, according to police.

After posting a $50,000 court-set bond, Ferrigno was released.

He appeared for arraignment at Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 15.

The North Haven Police Department has not released further details on the second suspect or the ongoing investigation.
