Man arrested on DUI charges after crash in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN — A 21-year-old Montpelier man was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a vehicle crash on Cedar Swamp Rd on Oct. 23 at 7:49 p.m.

Vermont State Police from the Berlin Barracks responded to a report of a crash at the location.

The vehicle involved had left the scene by the time authorities arrived, but with the help of the public, troopers located the vehicle shortly afterward.

The driver, identified as Evan Kerin of Montpelier, showed signs of impairment during his interaction with the troopers, according to the police report.

Kerin was taken into custody and transported to the Montpelier Police Department for processing.

Following the processing, Kerin was released with a citation to appear in the Orange County Superior Court, Criminal Division, to face the DUI charge.
