Enfield spa raid leads to prostitution arrests

ENFIELD — Police arrested two New York women on prostitution-related charges following a targeted operation at the Oasis Wellness Spa on North Main Street, officials said Wednesday.

The Enfield Community Police Officers, Detective Division, and East Central Narcotics Unit conducted the operation on Oct. 23 after receiving a tip about suspected illegal activities at the location.

The investigation led to the arrest of Li Shi Han, 52, of New York, NY, and Xiang Chun Huang, 56, of Flushing, NY.

Han is charged with prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution, while Huang faces charges of permitting prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution.

Both women were held on $10,000 bonds and are scheduled for arraignment at GA 14 in Hartford on Oct. 24.

Chief of Police Alaric J. Fox of the Enfield Police Department stated that the arrests were part of ongoing efforts to address community concerns related to illegal activities.

The Enfield Police encourage anyone with information about illegal activities to contact the Community Police Officers unit.
