Wellfleet man arrested in multi-agency drug bust

WELLFLEET — A collaborative effort between local police departments and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man on drug trafficking and possession charges Friday evening.

Caleb Oakland was apprehended after law enforcement served a search warrant at his Bank Street gallery residence at approximately 7:05 p.m. The action was part of an investigation into illegal drug distribution.

According to authorities, the search yielded cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, Adderall, MDMA, Percocet, $1,859 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Oakland faces charges including cocaine trafficking, drug possession, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Following his arrest, Oakland was processed at the police department and released on $1,000 cash bail.

He appeared at the Orleans District Court on Monday for arraignment.
