SPRINGFIELD — On Oct. 22, at approximately 9:58 a.m., the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Brockway Mills Road near the intersection of Mays Road.
Officers arrived to find a vehicle overturned on its roof with the operator entrapped and unresponsive inside.
Springfield Fire Department personnel quickly arrived at the scene to extract the individual from the vehicle.
The operator was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, respecting the family’s privacy and due to the individual’s age.
The Springfield Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
