BROCKTON — After a lengthy investigation by the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team-South, Massachusetts State Police Troopers, along with local police departments and Homeland Security Investigations, arrested a man for trafficking firearms and narcotics.

Josue Torres, 38, of Brockton, was targeted for distributing large quantities of fentanyl and cocaine across Plymouth and Norfolk counties throughout August.

The investigation included controlled purchases, surveillance, and court-ordered covert operations.

Torres frequently moved between Brockton, Stoughton, and Randolph, conducting drug sales in these areas.

On Oct. 22, authorities executed three search warrants in Brockton and Stoughton, leading to the arrest of Torres.

They seized approximately 940 grams of cocaine, 280 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of fentanyl, and a “ghost gun” — an unregistered 9mm firearm with 13 rounds of ammunition in a high-capacity magazine.

Following his arrest, Torres was arraigned at Brockton District Court.

His bail was revoked due to pending trafficking charges and he was ordered to be held on $150,000 bail for the new charges.

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office is now prosecuting the case.
