EAST KINGSTON — A standoff in East Kingston ended without incident early Tuesday morning after New Hampshire State Police SWAT and local law enforcement responded to a shots fired call at a Giles Road residence.

The East Kingston Police Department received the call shortly after midnight.

Officers were dispatched to the scene where an altercation had occurred between the homeowner and a guest, later identified as Jessie Gott, 35, of Nashua.

According to the homeowner, Gott refused to leave the property when asked, prompting the homeowner and another guest to exit for their safety.

Once outside, they reported hearing two loud bangs from within the house.

The homeowner also informed police of multiple unsecured firearms inside the residence.

Local agencies quickly established a perimeter and awaited the arrival of the State Police SWAT team.

Despite repeated commands to come out, Gott remained inside, leading officers to deploy a robot to locate him within the home.

Gott was found in a bathroom and subsequently exited the residence without further incident.

He was taken into custody and is facing charges of Burglary, Criminal Trespassing, and Resisting Arrest.

The East Kingston Police expressed gratitude to the New Hampshire State Police and the assisting units from Kingston, Newton, Brentwood, Kensington, Seabrook, Nottingham, and the East Kingston Ambulance for their support and professionalism.
