Suspects extradited, arrested in Stamford hotel shooting investigation

STAMFORD — Two suspects in a fatal shooting at a Super 8 Hotel last year have been extradited from New York to Stamford and are facing multiple charges including larceny and identity theft, police said Saturday.

Moises Alejadro Candollo-Urbaneja and Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias were extradited from Rensselaer, N.Y., on Oct. 19, and booked on arrest warrants that include charges of first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, third-degree identity theft, conspiracy to commit third-degree identity theft, and criminal liability for acts of another.

Both men are being held on a $2 million bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1.

The Stamford Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation into the incident, which resulted in heightened safety concerns in the community.
